Moreover the Quran was revealed at a time when the majority of the world
consider that the earth was still, and motionless, and the sun and
moon orbit around up and down the earth, because that are seen
and felt by the people on earth. Statement that the earth
moves around the sun, at the time of the revelation of the Qur'an, of
course, would cause Islam not accepted by the people, and even would bring out a lot of criticism from
some of people of the Book.

The Sun and The Moon Revolve Around the Earth According to Al-Qur'an
"Does the Qur'an teach that our solar system is geocentric ?" This is a fair question considering there are many of Qur'an's verses mention that the
sun, moon, and star are "running", but seem none of verses in the Qur'an which clearly state the earth is moving, running or floating. So, does the Qur'an
state that our solar system was geocentric, which the earth is the center and the sun, moon and other celestial bodies are running around the earth?
While the science is indicating that the earth moves around the sun and the sun itself is move along with our galaxy. Which should we believe further, revelation or science?

Does Al-Qur'an say that Earth is Flat ?
The Qur'an was revealed at a time when almost the majority of the population of the Arabian peninsula assumed that "the earth is flat", and probably thought that "the earth is round" at the time was something that was not acceptable, especially the science of astronomy was not popular among the Arabs. At the present time, therefore, that "the earth is round" is almost indisputable. Real modern-scientific evidence, either through observation of the earth even through direct observations in space have been presented to us, so the belief that "the earth is flat" is difficult to maintain. But keep in mind that the Qur'an is not revealed at present time, but at the time when people still believed that "the earth is flat". In some places in the Qur'an, were said that the earth was spread out or was wide expanse (in Arabic it is said to "faraash", "wasia", "mahd", "basaat", "suttihat", "tahaaha","dahaaha ")

There are 29 surah in the Qur'an which have initials or fawatih in the first verse, such as: alif, lam, mim, ra, shad, nun. Out of those 29 surah, the 15th surah in this list is the surah Al-Ankabut which is the 29th surah of the Qur'an. This surah divide the list of initials-have surah into 2 parts, 14 chapters before this surah and 14 surah after this surah.
